What We Need Out of You:

As an Account Director, you will work directly with Simplicity Lone Beacon’s clients across the country, as well as within our different internal teams to help strategize and build campaigns. Therefore, we’re counting on a team-focused individual who can communicate and collaborate with creativity and critical thinking. On a day-to-day basis, which changes constantly, keeping you on your toes, you’ll be working with 15-20 client accounts alongside the support of a growing team. We need a leader and problem solver, and someone who wants to make an impact on bottom-line revenue both for our advisor clients, and for us at Simplicity Lone Beacon.

The Account Director is expected to have exceptional leadership, organizational and communication skills, as well as a comfort level to be the primary contact for the clients we serve. Additionally, the Account Director must possess an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking mindset to lead the charge in client marketing and advertising campaigns impacting their bottom-line revenue. Lastly, we will rely on you to develop and contribute to campaigns, platforms, and processes that will enhance Simplicity Lone Beacon’s growth.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Work directly with our financial advisory clients to organize and fulfill strategic marketing requests, campaigns, and initiatives
  • Proactively assess our clients’ marketing needs and sales trends, to identify opportunities and solutions to improve our clients’ new business revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, by ensuring client satisfaction and retention
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and related metrics, focused on meeting our clients’ marketing, sales, and operational objectives
  • Provide leadership and oversight to a support team of marketing professionals
  • Work closely with internal design, paid digital, email, broadcast and sales teams to facilitate client requests, campaigns, and initiatives
  • Participate in scheduled meetings pertaining to all aspects of sales and marketing including web design, database marketing, digital and broadcast media buys, sales infrastructure, and events

Skills:

  • Ability and desire to be in a client-facing role
  • Comfortable with handling conversations with clients about expectations, results, and problem-solving
  • Skilled at commanding a room and delivering presentations
  • Ability to organize and multi-task in a fast-paced, high intensity environment
  • Experience in growing a team
  • Skilled in managing various marketing campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of social media, including paid advertising
  • Strong working knowledge of database marketing
  • Naturally curious person, who is willing to work independently and solve problems on their own
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written form

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience at an ad agency or in-house marketing department
  • Previous experience in managing and developing a team
  • Proficient strategic thinking and planning, innovation, creativity in problem solving and decision-making
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and marketing automation
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Financial literacy or licensing a plus
  • Background in broadcast a plus
  • Web development and graphic design skills a plus
