I started my career in the late 80s, and I heard the same thing that everyone hears today… “Your generation doesn’t work as hard as ours did”. I didn’t buy it then and 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄. But, unprecedented changes are happening. And, whether you’re first entering the workforce or you own your own business, these things could help you today more than ever…

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱. There’s no substitute for hard work, and people who work hard will usually succeed and almost ALWAYS beat those who don’t. In a world where people generally don’t have to come into the office regularly…know that people who DO create better relationships with everyone and make it a better environment. This is as true for the owner as it is for the employees.

In a world where the pinnacle time commitment is generally 40 hours a week, those who choose to invest extra time in themselves and those around them will benefit more than those who don’t. In a world where people spend more time looking inward than outward, those who choose to learn what’s going on in the world around them, and in their own industry, will benefit more than those who don’t. And it will give them the power to help themselves and the gift of sharing that knowledge with others.

In a world where people are taught to wait for things to come… the people who choose to 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 will ALWAYS come out on top. And in a world where we’re generally told that life is often unfair and that’s the reason to accept mediocracy or failure, or even worse…to not even try. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝗻.

So… Whether you’re new to business or you have run your own for years…it’s easier today than ever to 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁. The competitive herd has been dramatically thinned. As a result, 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱. Working hard built our country. Working hard made every sports and entertainment icon great, and every successful entrepreneur you’ve ever heard of what they are.

So the advice: 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗴𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
